Pinhole and Porosity
Flaws in coatings can lead to damage, including corrosion as surfaces become exposed to the environment. Porosity refers to voids created underneath the surface of a coating, often caused by gases and temperature conditions. In time, these voids may become larger and cause damage to the surface.
Pinholes are visible on the surface of a coating and again, if left unchecked may lead to further damage to the substrate.
It is therefore important to check surfaces for these issues and take remedial action if required. Our range includes detectors for differing thicknesses together with accessories to suit all types of surfaces and applications.
