The Buchholz Indentation tester is a simple and reliable method to evaluate the indentation resistance of coatings. The test block is applied to the coated surface under a constant load of 500g for 30 seconds. The trace left can then be observed with the supplied illuminated microscope at 20x magnification. This fully portable instrument is in accordance with ISO 2815 and is supplied in a protective case.
