PosiTector RTR Check Shim

PosiTector RTR Check Shim T01-20381 Used to check PosiTector RTR peak height accuracy (RTR H and RTR 3D). One check shim is included with each probe. Stated thickness is adjusted for Replica Tape Offset Value. Accuracy: ± 5.08 microns (± 0.2 mil) How to Use: Ensure that the probe has been cleaned with the included cleaning card  and that the probe has been zeroed Place into the probe opening. The average of several measurements should be within the combined tolerance of both the gauge and the shim. The check shim is specifically intended for all PosiTector RTR probes. The gauge is designed to measure burnished replica tape within a limited measuring range and automatically subtracts 50.8 µm (2 mils) from height measurements to account for the incompressible polyester film. Therefore plastic shims intended for other instruments such as coating thickness gauges will not be measured properly.
