The Falling Sand Abrasion Tester is used to determine the abrasion resistance performance of organic coatings. Abrasive Sand is allowed to fall from a specified height through a guide tube onto a coated panel until the substrate becomes visible.

Automatic Scribe/Scratch Marker Now Available

Developed to ensure accuracy and repeatability when making scribe marks for corrosion testing.  Manual scratch tools can be subject to operator influences, and can lead to inaccurate results, especially when working with multilayer coatings. 2mm wide vertical scratch, for strict compliance with the standard. The cutting blade has a rotary cutting principle to ensure the edge of the prepared scratch is neat and without damage.
