The Falling Sand Abrasion Tester is used to determine the abrasion resistance performance of organic coatings. Abrasive Sand is allowed to fall from a specified height through a guide tube onto a coated panel until the substrate becomes visible. Convenient funnel with fan-shaped switch for ease of use The distance between the guide tube and specimen holder is calibrated by the included tool Funnel installation height is fully adjustable The amount of abrasive sand per unit film thickness is reported as the abrasion resistance of the coating on the panel.
