A wide range of test charts (Opacity Charts and spreading rate charts) used to determine or compare hiding power & contrast ratios of pigmented coating materials such as paint, emulsions and ink. These Opacity Charts are either UV cured or covered in plastic film & their lacquer is solvent resistant, they are suitable for use with most organic, water based or solvent based coatings. A uniform layer of coating is applied to the chart and evaluated after drying. This is an important step in determining how many layers of a coating will be required in any given situation, The opacity can be measured with one of our opacity meters
